Valeria leads the Digital and Innovation portfolio in Deloitte’s EMEA Centre for Regulatory Strategy (ECRS), owning, shaping and delivering the ECRS FinTech eminence plan. This involves:

• monitoring and analysing regulatory and supervisory developments (International, EU, and UK) relevant to technological innovation;
• working with Deloitte client practitioners to understand the opportunities and challenges presented by regulation for Financial Services (FS) firms;
• interacting with FinTechs, regulators and trade associations to help shape and inform our eminence agenda;
• researching and drafting thought leadership, regulatory briefings, and client presentations on the impact of regulatory developments.

In particular, Valeria focuses on PSD2, Open Banking, Data Protection, Big Data/ AI, and the impact of FinTech on the future of regulation and supervision.
