AI/ML Engineer, Google Cloud
Tuba is a machine learning engineer at Google Cloud who helps organisations in the UK and Ireland solve their business problems efficiently using AI/ML. She is based in London and focuses on generative and predictive AI and the automation and operationalisation of machine learning solutions. She enjoys understanding the business problems and designing solutions that solve them in simple, creative, and effective ways.
Prior to Google, Tuba was a data scientist at SAS, where she worked on projects across Europe and the US. She began her career in research and development at the National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology in Türkiye, where she played a key role in developing a speech recognition engine for Turkish. She holds an engineering degree in electronics and a master's degree in digital signal processing.
Tuba delivered successful projects across a variety of industries, including rogue trader fraud detection in capital markets, smart metering analytics in utilities, hazard detection and readmission prediction in healthcare, credit risk in banking, churn prediction in telecom, rate making in insurance, demand forecasting in retail, and pharmacovigilance analysis in life sciences.
In her spare time, Tuba enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling, camping, surfing and skating.
