Stephen is Insurance Sector lead partner for UK Risk Advisory. He also leads our Risk Culture offerings across Financial Services (FS). He has 20+ years' experience in FS, focussing on higher performing CRO/risk functions of the future, risk target operating models, enterprise risk frameworks, risk governance, and evolving risk intelligent and data cultures. This includes 14 months (Oct 22 to Dec 23) as Interim Group CRO/SMF7 and Group ExCo member for a FTSE Top 30 composite insurer, two years as UK Head of Risk for a Globally Systemic Important Insurer (GSII) and 17 years as a consultant focusing on groupwide enterprise risk management and risk and conduct risk cultures.

He leads our most high profile and complex engagements in Risk Management in Insurance and Banking. He brings strong insight into the regulatory and industry challenges associated with designing and embedding practical approaches for managing risk, enhancing risk and data cultures and strengthening CRO/risk function capabilities across FS.
