Chief Compliance Officer, News Corp
Imogen Haddon is News Corp’s Chief Compliance Officer, based in the London office. News Corp is a global media and information services company, which owns some of the world’s most respected brands, including the London Times newspapers, The Sun tabloid and the Wall Street Journal, HarperCollins book publishers, Fox Sports Australia and realtor.com.
Imogen joined News Corp in March 2012, as News UK’s first staff appointed Chief Compliance Officer, focusing on anti-bribery and compliance matters as applicable to journalists in light of the UK newspapers’ hacking and payments issues at that time. Imogen currently oversees News Corp’s Global Compliance program and the Global Compliance team, and reports into David Pitofsky, News Corp’s General Counsel.
Prior to News Corp, Imogen was at Independent Print Ltd for 10 years, where she was Managing Editor of The Independent and Independent on Sunday for over 5 years, as well as Deputy General Counsel in the Legal Department, advising on all media law matters. Imogen originally trained and practised at London law firm Allen & Overy, qualifying into their corporate department.
