Dan is an experienced data practitioner who has set up and scaled the data platforms for multiple companies. Prior to joining Snowflake, he built the data team at an education tech scale-up in London, starting as engineer number four and building a data platform to meet annual 10-30x growth for five years he worked there. He is passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and minimising total cost of ownership for data teams, whether small or large. Due to the text-rich nature of the scale-up, Dan developed an early passion for search and LLMs, which has only strengthened during the GenAI boom.
