Chief Economist, Deloitte Spain
Ana is Deloitte Spain’s Chief Economist, and a member of Deloitte’s Global Economics Institute. She is also responsible for the Economics Practice in Spain, leading a diverse team of economists and data scientists that provide services to clients.
Prior to her current role, Ana worked in the United Kingdom (UK) for over 15 years, as an economist in the UK competition authority (Competition Commission), the UK's communications sector regulator (Ofcom), and as a Director with the Deloitte UK Economics Practice.
Ana advises clients on issues ranging from how to reap opportunities and adapt to challenges resulting from the macroeconomic outlook, how to maximise business opportunities within the context of antitrust and sectoral policy, and how the policy environment can foster the economic contribution of sectors and activities, underpinned by advanced analytics and economic theory.
Ana has a Masters Degree in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium; she has degrees in Economics from the Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and the University of Murcia; and a Diploma in European Antitrust Law from King’s College, London (UK).
