The UK data cut is part of Deloitte’s Global Mobile Consumer Survey, a multi-country study of mobile phone users around the world. The 2018 study comprises approximately 54,150 respondents across 35 countries and six continents.
Data cited in this report are based on a nationally representative sample of 4,150 UK consumers aged 16-75. The sample follows a country specific quota on age, gender, region and socio-economic status. Fieldwork took place during June 2018 and was carried out online by Ipsos MORI, an independent research firm, based on a question set provided by Deloitte.
The themes presented on the website provide a snapshot of some of the insights that the survey has revealed. Additional analyses such as: smartphone purchasing and replacement cycles, usage of operator customer points (stores, call centers, digital) for different types of reasons (billing, technical, etc.), ownership and usage of connected home devices, smartphone usage to control other devices, usage of advanced smartphone functionalities (including machine learning, biometrics, AR, etc.), usage of smartphones in the customer purchasing journey, etc. are available upon request.
