Neil Robinson is a commercially focused and adaptable executive with a proven history of developing rapid and scalable growth strategies to take businesses to unprecedented levels of growth within media, marketing, and technology sectors. Throughout his career, Neil has brought his commercial creativity to skillfully accelerate and diversify revenue, direct business growth strategy, implement transformative operating models, and lead change across organisations.
Most recently, Neil has been using his deep and broad understanding of media transformation, commercial acumen & GTM experience to lead the media advisory practice across EMEA at Salesforce. Intended to deepen relationships between Salesforce and sector, Neil is changing the narrative, impact and value of Salesforce’s enterprise platforms and tools to unlock growth within media owners, agency holding groups and B2B enterprises (Sports, Entertainment, Events & retail media) looking to reduce operational friction, simplify marketing, sales, commerce & service & build data centric cultures.
Neil has over 25 years of sales, product & leadership experience across his time at News Corp UK & Australia. At News Corp Australia, Neil successfully directed the organisation to diversify and accelerate revenue, increase market share, and reduce cost per sale in operations. Neil additionally applied his problem solving expertise while leading the transformation and migration of 3 separate teams into the largest multimedia sales team in Australia. In this role, Neil launched new products and services, including “News Xtend” which created $4 million in new digital revenue in its first year.
Recently, Neil served as the Managing Director, Digital Solutions for News Corp Australia where he managed a team of over 200 with a $200 million digital revenue responsibility. Across his tenure, Neil led strategy to create a cohesive digital infrastructure across data, content, media and performance teams, diversified and increased digital income & successfully doubled revenue from a newly launched digital content marketing agency.
As the Global Chief Revenue Officer at ROKT, Neil spent three years in NYC before returning to News Corp. Neil’s role at ROKT fundamentally transformed the way he leads emerging and early stage businesses to achieve exponential growth and refined his ability to navigate ambiguity and develop innovative strategies to create both top- and bottom line growth. At ROKT, Neil moved to the US office with only five full-time staff, quickly supporting it to become the global HQ of over 120 team members. In this role, Neil led acquisition and customer success functions in 5 territories, geographic expansion efforts including opening a new office in London and directed commercial growth by adding new supply partners and demand customers. In 2017, Neil was a member of the Series B funding pitch team and successfully took the company from Series A to D.
An inquisitive leader, Neil has been recognised for his ability to identify emerging opportunities for growth, turn around underperforming strategies and teams, and create value and bottom-line revenue growth for companies. With his multidisciplinary skill set, Neil skillfully creates scalable strategies to support business growth at companies of all sizes.
Along with his professional experience, Neil holds a Bachelor of Science from Loughborough University of Technology. He additionally has served as a Board Member for IAB Australia and Premium Content Alliance.
