Bringing private sector insight to public services
Local government faces ongoing funding pressures coupled with increasing demand for services and we are proud to be helping Hampshire County Council transform its services in light of these challenges. As the council’s private sector partner (PSP), we work closely with its corporate management team, implementing a digital strategy and bringing insights from the private sector to demonstrate how new technologies can not only change service delivery but also help Hampshire’s residents interact with the council. This has led to more efficient and cost-effective ways of working and improved collaboration between council staff in priority areas.
A further key area of focus has been supporting the council to integrate more effectively with other parts of the public sector — for example, establishing shared support services between the council and Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. We have also worked with the council’s health partners to improve health and social care integration. Finally, we are also delivering a leadership programme for the council’s senior leaders to equip them with new perspectives, and commercial and technical skills that will enable them to more effectively lead the council over the years to come.
