Mind: tackling the stigma of mental illness
As part of our commitment to tackling mental health discrimination, we signed the anti-stigma campaign Time to Change and we are proud to be Mind’s largest-ever corporate supporter. We are involved in fundraising as well as supporting Mind to effectively distribute advice and information about mental health. In the first year, the pro bono projects have focussed on the development of an innovative digital product, Mind’s property portfolio and how the charity interacts with corporate clients, helping it become more efficient and sustainable as an organisation. Money raised so far has helped recruit and train an Infoline worker, enabling Mind to take an extra 8,000 calls in the first year and 24,000 extra calls over the course of the partnership. We are working with Mind to develop its visionary strategy for 2016 to 2021, which will encompass its plans to better the everyday lives of those who experience a mental health problem so that in all aspects of life, people receive support and respect, and become equal citizens in society.
