Vertice began with a challenge its founders, brothers Eldar and Roy, had experienced first-hand: how could buying and renewing software be made simpler and easier to manage? Having managed fast-growing businesses previously, and managed thousands of contracts in the process, they saw an opportunity to use AI to make procurement more efficient, transparent and easier to control.

“Vertice started from our own frustrations. With our earlier businesses, we were renewing around 2,000 customer contracts every year, and we were a fast-growing company with a lot of technology spend ourselves. We started Vertice because there had to be a better way - so we built it. And with AI, that 'better way' keeps getting smarter and more impactful.”
Eldar Tuvey, Founder and CEO, Vertice

That first-hand experience shaped the problem Vertice set out to solve. For many enterprises, procurement is essential but fragmented, with pricing hard to compare, renewals taking time and teams often lacking the visibility to know whether they are buying the right tools at the right price. Vertice brings that process into one platform, giving finance and procurement teams greater visibility over what they buy, how much they spend, and where efficiencies can be found.

The timing initially looked challenging. Vertice was funded when technology valuations were high but launched in an environment where companies were increasingly focused on layoffs, budget reductions, and cost savings. At the same time, companies needed better control over software and wider indirect spending, and Vertice was built to deliver the hard-dollar savings customers were looking for. What first looked like a challenge became an opportunity for the business.

The proposition now extends beyond cost savings. With an AI platform that shortens procurement cycle times, reduces risk, and connects sourcing to payments, Vertice aims to help businesses make better purchasing decisions faster, and with greater foresight. The company has also grown to over 400 people worldwide, with offices in locations including London, New York, Sydney and Brno, serving enterprises across multiple markets.

Looking ahead, Vertice aims to build a world-class enterprise business, with AI playing an increasingly important role in its product. One such example is the development of an autonomous negotiation agent, Ana, which negotiates with suppliers on customers’ behalf, drawing on Vertice’s data and experience from thousands of negotiations. This can help customers manage negotiations across a wider range of suppliers, including those that may otherwise go unoptimized, demonstrating how Vertice is moving from procurement workflow support towards more intelligent, automated decision support.
