Prostate Cancer UK: search and rescue
Our three year goal with Prostate Cancer UK, one of our three national charity partners, is to deliver a pioneering “Search and Rescue” programme to target the 1 in 8 men at high risk of this disease. Our Analytics team has used geo-spatial analytics to enable Prostate Cancer UK to map the men most at risk in the country, allowing the charity to focus their advertising and campaigns in those parts of the UK most at risk. We have also hosted Prostate Cancer UK’s first Men United signing day in Manchester alongside Manchester City legend, Mike Summerbee.
The event exposed the campaign to a press readership of almost 700,000, plus eight million Man City Facebook fans. Following the Deloitte launch, over 180,000 people have signed up to be a part of the Men United team. We have raised over £600,000 for our three charity partners in the first year and this has provided the resources to support the implementation of the Search and Rescue programme for Prostate Cancer UK.
