Elvis & Kresse: from trash to turnover
James Henrit and Kresse Wesling, the founders of Elvis and Kresse, wanted to grow their business but were faced with a number of barriers to expansion. Elvis & Kresse, one of our Social Innovation Pioneers, converts industrial and commercial waste into luxury goods and accessories, donating up to 50 percent of its profits to good causes.
Deloitte Digital helped design a new website that effectively conveyed the brand and improved the buying experience. The Deloitte team worked closely with James and Kresse throughout the process, adjusting the design live in the test environment so that they could see the effect of changes. The project quickly expanded and we eventually helped the couple navigate Turkish customs, UK employment and immigration laws and map out a plan for growing the business. The final result, says Wesling, was “a vast improvement in our communication tools and in how we relate to our most important customers”. The revamp of the website helped drive a 40 percent increase in visitors and a 50% increase in online sales, which in turn means that the company has been able to increase its charitable donations.

Leeds Empties: bringing 5,000 empty homes back into use
Leeds Empties is a social enterprise born with the objective of bringing the estimated 5,000 empty homes in the city back into use through the Empty Homes Doctor service. The organisation is going from strength to strength and, with our help, it secured a further £100,000 from Leeds City Council to continue to run the service.
