Deloitte leads the growth debate at 10 Downing Street

Deloitte’s innovative UK Futures programme took centre stage at an exclusive growth roundtable at 10 Downing Street.

Businesses Leading Britain, Deloitte’s annual blueprint of how to reproduce the success of the UK’s 1,000 fastest growing medium–size businesses, was the catalyst for the talks.

It was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the impact our research and insight have on the future of wealth creation in the UK and it positioned Deloitte at the heart of the discussion on sustainable growth. The central role we played in such an influential debate illustrates how the quality of our research can lead to client and policy conversations at the highest level.

Deloitte CEO David Sproul joined Prime Minister David Cameron and some of the country’s most prominent business leaders to discuss the characteristics that make these companies so successful, explore barriers to expansion and push for actions to foster future growth. Among the suggestions were fiscal incentives to encourage long-term investment and global expansion, promoting role models and mentors for CEOs and tackling the shortage of skilled workers.
