Delivering a lasting legacy
Our support of the London 2012 Games was not just about making it happen but about leaving a lasting legacy well beyond 2012, and over the last year this commitment has continued. Not only are we continuing to support the transformation of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into new homes and new venues, but in May we also proudly renewed our sponsorship of the British Paralympic Association, helping them maintain the incredible momentum they gained last summer.

John Lewis website redevelopment
Deloitte has worked with John Lewis over the last three years to redevelop their e-commerce offering and the newly developed platform went live in February 2013.

Bristow Group wins UK Search and Rescue Helicopters Contract
Deloitte supported the Bristow Group on their successful bid to take over provision of Search and Rescue Helicopter services for the whole of the UK. The award of the £1.6bn contract to Bristow will come into effect in April 2015.

The Prince’s Trust: Enabling effective partnerships
Deloitte provided critical post-merger support for the first major merger in the UK charity sector, as The Prince’s Trust joined forces with Fairbridge to become the UK’s leading organisation dedicated to supporting marginalised and disadvantaged young people. Through the successful merger, the combined organisation was able to help nearly 8,000 more young people, attract 39 per cent higher income and reduce the cost per young person supported by 27 per cent with no change to the quality of support offered. We further supported by helping The Prince’s Trust understand the social impact of its education and employability programmes through the feasibility study of a social impact bond.

Helping to reduce conflict and normalise life in Northern Ireland
In recent years practitioners in our Northern Ireland office have engaged with public and third sector clients in helping resolve issues and challenges Northern Ireland society continues to face as it deals with the legacy of conflict in the region. From supporting the wide-reaching changes to the regional policing body, providing research into the processes helping victims and survivors find out about what happened to family members killed during the conflict to helping redesign the approach to interventions aimed at reducing tension at critical times.

Military Transition Programme
We launched the Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme in November 2012. This was part of a drive to diversify our own talent pool and to assist the transition of ex-military personnel into new careers, as the Armed Forces faces significant changes over the coming years. We have already had over 200 people attend one of our military Insight days.

Development Programmes for Leaders of Children’s services
