During 2011 our Sustainability Services practice worked with a major FTSE 100 retailer to develop an action plan that will deliver sustainability and zero-carbon for its UK and European property portfolio.

This included developing outline design proposals for stores, operational and embodied carbon assessments, and a 20-year investment plan.

As part of this project, we supported our client in planning its journey to become zero carbon by 2030 and identified 20 per cent energy savings with a return on investment in under two years, estimated to deliver up to £200m savings over the next 10 years.
