Deloitte’s work with Diageo proves that a great user experience isn’t just for consumers. In close partnership with Diageo’s intouch team we developed a web ordering portal – Diageo Connect – that transforms business-to-business interactions and brings to them the flavour and ease of use of a consumer channel, with the benefits of a fully integrated application with global scalability.
Diageo Connect provides features such as favourite products, the ability to select a delivery day and automatic order splitting, while integrating seamlessly with Diageo’s order process and retaining its existing SAP back-end system as the engine.
The Deloitte-built portal redefines business-to-business interactions, turning them into consumer-like experiences, ideal for publicans and bar owners. It also scales to beer distributors – bringing the same consumer feel to wholesale operations.
Diageo Connect went live in April 2012, delivering online ordering and self-service to customers across Ireland and USA before continuing with a global roll-out and the development of additional customer collaboration features.
