Over recent years there have been significant legislative changes, and increased scrutiny from tax authorities, impacting UK and non-UK pension arrangements. The tax and regulatory environment in which these sorts of plans operate is increasingly complex and employers are faced with ensuring that they are globally compliant in relation to their withholding and reporting obligations throughout the pension life cycle.

This session is intended to provide an update on market approach to cross border issues and an insight into the ways in which employers are reviewing, managing and adapting their pension governance processes in light of these changes. The session will also cover the increased interest among employers for a ‘New IPP’ which could offer a more flexible and portable means of providing retirement benefits for an internationally mobile population.
